Burt Johnson stopped by the Sam Ash Studio the other day to give us a demo of the Fishman TriplePlay – a wireless MIDI controller that is a composing, performing and recording (that’s where the triple comes in) system that opens up new worlds of sounds for guitarists. Right out of the box you have access to hundreds of sounds as the TriplePlay comes with complete – yes, complete! – versions of Native Instruments Komplete Elements and GuitarRig LE, Notion Music Progression 2, IK Multimedia’s SampleTank 2 XT and more. Besides being to access new and exciting sounds, the TriplePlay comes with software to allow you to record, edit and print your music, too. Plus the TriplePlay works well with all industry standard DAW’s and virtual instruments.
The system, which includes a wireless controller, hexaphonic pickup, wireless USB receiver, mounting hardware and charging cable – is easily and non-destructively attachable to most any guitar. You don’t have to make any modifications to your instrument and the system is easily removed.
